Yes, it's "Shungiku" ✨! It's "crown daisy." ✨
Garland chrysanthemum is in season from October to March. Recently, it has been grown in greenhouses, so it is available all year round, but it is mostly available during the season when one-pot dishes are tasty.
Major production areas are Chiba, Osaka, and Ibaraki prefectures.
Iron absorption is enhanced by taking garland chrysanthemum with foods containing vitamin C and proteins such as meat and seafood. You can easily consume it by making a salad with its tender leaves and drizzling it with lemon and olive oil dressing, or by using it as a vegetable to accompany meat or fish dishes.
We use it as a vegetable in our winter shabu course. Please eat it with meat for protein power 🎊🎄🎄.
